Earthly Example

You can think of someone with the gift of healing like a doctor, but instead of doctor tools and medicine, they call upon God's healing power to heal people of sickness and disease.

Spiritual Explanation

The gift of healing is being able to supernaturally heal others through the power of the Holy Spirit by the laying on of hands or prayer. Faith is a big part of spiritual healing. Jesus did not do a lot of healing in His hometown because the people did not have faith. God can use anybody He chooses to heal through. Just because it has not happened yet, doesn't mean He won't use you.

Biblical Example

• Jesus healed a lot of people in the Bible and He still does! Look in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in the Bible. 
  
• Peter, by God's power, healed a man who could not walk. (Acts 3:6) 
• By God's power, Paul healed a man's dad that was sick and had a fever. A bunch of people on the same island heard about it and came and were healed. (Acts 28:7-9)
