What do you mean I should clean my room everyday?!
David, in Psalm 90:12 asks God, "So teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom."
Do you like cleaning your room?

- If you clean it once a month, it seems to take forever. You might find old food that probably can talk to you by now, old clothes that smell like they have been hanging out in a garbage dump, and french fries whose age cannot be determined.
- If you clean it once a week, it seems to take less time to clean and might not smell like a llama that rolled around in scary things for hours.
- If you clean it once a day, it doesn't take much time at all. Unless, you are a walking tornado, it should be clean within a few minutes. If you share a room and you work together with your roommate, then it takes even less time.
Why in the world are we talking about cleaning our room?
The point is to use your time wisely. It is easier to keep up with life than to sit around now and play catch up later. We only have a certain amount of time that we get to live on this earth. If we use it wisely, we will get things done easier and faster so that we can have more quiet time to spend with God and to hear what He wants us to do. It will provide you more time to do the things that you love. It is like getting your homework done on Friday so you don't have to worry about it the rest of the weekend.
