![]() Trusting God can be very difficult. We may find it hard to trust God when times are tough., but we can always rely on Him and His purpose for our lives. The Bible says He will never leave you or forsake you. He loves you and wants you to prosper and be happy. In the book of Genesis, Noah was told to do something by God that seemed very unusual. He was told to build an ark. God told him to do this because if he did his family would be saved from the destruction of the world (Genesis, 6). It would take Noah many many years to complete such a ship. Noah toiled and labored for years to complete it, facing certain ridicule from his friends and neighbors. He trusted with all his heart that God would do what he said. After years of building, the ark was finally complete. Noah and his family along with many animals, went into the ark and were saved from the massive flood. Noah and His family survived because Noah trusted God. Not long after this we find Abraham and his son Isaac going up to offer a sacrifice unto God. On the way there, God told Abraham to offer his son Isaac as the burnt offering. This must have greatly pained Abraham, because this meant he would have to kill his only son. Abraham trusted God. He began preparing a place, and Isaac asked about the sacrifice. Abraham said that God would provide. As Abraham raised the knife to his son, God sent an angel to tell Him to stop. The angel said that he knew that Abraham feared God and would not hold anything back from Him. Then they spotted a ram in the bushes and sacrificed it instead of Isaac. It must have taken an enormous amount of trust for Abraham to come that close to killing his only son. Abraham knew that God must have had a purpose. God has a plan and a purpose for all of us, we just have to trust and obey no matter what. Gods plan for you is perfect and is designed for you specifically. So in all things, trust God and pray that His will is done in your life. ![]()

We serve a GREAT BIG GOD! How big is He? It may be hard for us to grasp just how big God is, but Psalms 19:1 says " The heavens declare the glory of God. The expanse shows his handiwork." WEB That means that the sky, outer space and everything in it declare His majesty. The universe is big, but God is BIGGER! Isaiah 40:12 says "Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and marked off the sky with his span, and calculated the dust of the earth in a measuring basket, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?" WEB That's a Great Big God! If He holds the universe ,the earth and everything else in His hand than that means He holds you too. He is bigger than any problem we have and bigger than any fear. He made all these big things, but He cares about us and loves us unconditionally. His love is BIG and the bible says that perfect love can cast out all fear. There is no problem in our universe that is too big for God. As big as our problems seem sometimes, God knows just how big your problem really is. When I'm faced with fear, I just tell that fear that I serve a GREAT BIG GOD! Let Him be magnified over your problems and over your fears. His love never fails. ![]()
Psalm 32:8 “I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you.” WEB This maze represents different situations in our lives. We are the little "X".This is how God sees the situation from His point of view.We are looking at the maze from the side. We cannot see the view from the top like God does. Our view from the "X" looks something like this.If we pray and seek God, He will tell us which way to go. He will give us a nudge when we head in the wrong direction. It is much better to trust God than ourselves. He has a much better view.Psalm 118:8 “It is better to take refuge in the Lord, than to put confidence in man.” Proverbs 3:5-6: 5 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” ![]()
