
We all know that sharing is a good thing to do. Obviously Jesus talked a lot about sharing and that is proven in His teachings. The BIble has a lot to say on the subject of sharing, so let us take a glance at some scriptures that support this practice.
Acts 4:32 says, "The multitude of those who believed were of one heart and soul. Not one of them claimed that anything of the things which he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common. (WEB) True Christians are called to share the things which they posses. We are not to hoard and keep everything we have to ourselves. We should be sharing our time our money our food/ clothing and also our Testimonies. Jesus said that the poor will always be among us, so there will always be opportunities to share. When we truly begin to care about others, sharing becomes so easy.
Luke 3:10-11 says, "10 The multitudes asked him, “What then must we do?” 11 He answered them, “He who has two coats, let him give to him who has none. He who has food, let him do likewise.” (WEB)
The people were told directly by Jesus that they should share what they have. That way no one would go without. If everybody shared a little, then everyone would have what they need. That is one of the marks of a real Christ follower. Sharing is easy and was a practice that was believed in by the early church, and we should also believe in the power of sharing.
There are many people in the world who are In need. We can change that by sharing. People will truly know that you care for them if you share things with them. Pray and ask God to show you areas in your life where you may have they opportunity to share. Hebrews 13:16 says, "But don’t forget to be doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased." (WEB)
Sharing will definitely help us get a better grasp on being more like Jesus.
